Network Management is a central function within the CIB Digital & Platform Services organization responsible for managing the J.P. Morgan’s Lines of Business (“LOBs”) relationships with their network of local market participants and market infrastructures. These critical providers include Financial Market Infrastructures (“FMIs”) (payment systems, central counterparties (CCPs), and check clearing systems) and Agent Banks (sub-custodians, cash correspondents, partners, and clearing banks).
With over 190 resources, the Network Management team is primarily located in London, Bournemouth, New York, Tampa, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports all J.P. Morgan’s lines of business including Corporate & Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer & Community Banking
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the governance processes to be compliant with Network Management’s change processes and applicable oversight regulatory requirements
- Including monthly regulatory governance reporting
- Working with the Head of Network Management Oversight Standards to ensure the respective governance and oversight frameworks are robust
- Support ongoing enhancement of governance framework, including development of consistent best practice and governance protocols
- Acquire an understanding of the end-to-end Network Management oversight processes
- Develop subject matter expertise of the Corporate Third Party Oversight, UK Outsourcing and regional regulatory requirements that Network Management has to adhere to
- Establish excellent partnerships with Network Management Regulatory and Legal, UK Outsourcing, CTPO and CASS teams
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Good control mindset and high attention to detail
- Strong organisation/administration skills
- Ability to quickly build good working relationships across the Network, CASS and UK Outsourcing teams so that governance activities can be coordinated efficiently
- Good communication skills as one of the core responsibilities is to be the secretariat for the Change Management meetings, so candidate should have
- a confident and assertive manner to ensure agenda items are covered and to, organise and moderate monthly training sessions
- ability to produce high quality minutes and efficiently track follow-up actions to completion
- Able to demonstrate working in a control focused environment
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to deliver through others
- Attested track record of working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
