In addition, The Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) group drives systematic trading within this space and are responsible for algorithmic pricing, automated risk management and hedging, and intelligent order execution strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
The electronic trading strategist will work as part of the Macro ATS front-office team on the trading floor, covering Interest Rate Products, Currencies, Commodities and Emerging Markets. The environment is fast-paced and challenging. The individual must be responsible, independent and able to work in smooth coordination with the larger team to drive the desk's profitability.
The individual will work closely with various business teams to drive revenue and expand the business. Apart from that, he/she is also expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. These include designing trading and execution strategies; researching micro-patterns and trends; building, maintaining and upgrading applications & tools; supporting day-to-day operations of the global electronic trading business.
Your Background:
- Deep interest in algorithmic execution, market microstructure and quantitative trading.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively when faced with problems and opportunities. Passion to look for innovative holistic solutions leveraging the firm’s resources.
- Design and programming experience, with primary focus on object-oriented programming language (C++, Java, C#, etc.) and Python.
- Interest in collaborations: working together with partners who have different areas of expertise and expert knowledge.
- Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation.
- Attention to detail, hungry to learn, highly motivated.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous financial experience is not essential.
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience working with mission critical systems / contributing to production code base is desirable but not essential.
- Quantitative / Mathematical background sufficient to understand, discuss, and describe dynamics of complex systems is a plus.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and applying modern ML/AI techniques is desirable but not essential.
- Direct experience of agile software methodologies in a front-office environment is a plus but not essential.
