J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking is a market leading provider of Payment products to the Corporate Client Banking, Middle Market, Government, Healthcare, Not-for-Profit, Financial Institutions Group and Real Estate markets. The Commercial Banking (CB) Solutions team focuses on end-to-end product strategy, client experience and sales enablement for Commercial Banking clients broadly, as well as the fit and positioning for each commercial segment.
Our EMEA Payments business is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a Senior Associate of Commercial Banking Payment Solutions based in London. The position reports directly to the Managing Director of CB EMEA Solutions.
Role Description
All members of the CB Payment Solutions team have a passion for the customer experience and focus on the end-to-end journeys to not only drive simplicity and innovation for Commercial Banking clients, but also for their end-customers. The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting specialized product strategy for high-priority client use cases in the Commercial Bank by helping to articulate the value proposition, optimizing current capabilities, and building prioritized business cases for evolving client needs. The successful candidate should be highly collaborative to work with sales teams and functional partners to solve problems and execute go-to-market plans to drive growth for the Commercial Banking franchise in EMEA.
Core activities include solution set documentation, coordinating and analysing market and direct customer research, mapping key client journeys and prioritizing solution enhancements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Market intelligence to incorporate requirements and recommendations to understand client needs to inform product improvements and the overall experience for the Commercial Banking segments, including the prioritization of business cases within the Investment Planning Process.
- Articulation of the high-level EMEA Payments Roadmap to clearly outline the benefits to CB clients and their end-customers
- Go-to-market planning / tracking ofproduct launches and business changes to ensure positive client outcomes and feedback
- Program governance / reporting for Commercial Banking stakeholders of key initiatives to drive growth and business efficiencies (e.g., rollout of new pricing strategies)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant Product, Strategy or Consulting experience within Payments (Banking or Fintech)
- Ability to translate a strategic vision into customer-friendly language, including a clear articulation of the client experience and value proposition
- Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives
- Ability to communicate complex ideas through compelling stories and leveraging the integrity of data and facts more than anecdotes or opinions
- High intellectual curiosity and desire to marry traditional and emerging concepts to solve developing business needs
