The International Private Bank is undertaking a major, multi-year, multi-million-dollar transformation initiative. The programme will change almost every part of the platform from back office to front office, in order to deliver a modern solution that enables the business to scale effectively and flexibly.
IPB will be implementing the Temenos Wealth Suite, which includes Temenos Transact (formerly known as T24), Wealth Front Office (formerly known as Triple’A) and the Temenos Data Hub at the core of this transformation. JP Morgan in-house built systems will integrate with the vendor platforms to deliver the end-to-end solution. Uniquely in this transformation, the platform will be changed from front to back – this is not just a back office update nor is it just a technology-driven initiative since the aim is complete business transformation.
As a business analyst in core platform squad, you will be responsible for defining the requirements of the solutions working closely with other functions in the squad such as front office, back office, design, legal, risk and compliance. You will ensure that the developers in the squad understand exactly what they need to make the software do, and you will help validate the software does what is intended and that it delivers the highest efficiency for front, middle and back office users as appropriate.
The private bank has moved to an agile, product-centric model for the delivery of the platform modernisation programme, and the squads are made up of all relevant business functions with the goal of delivering their functional scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing user stories, and turning business requirements and expectations into tangible software system requirements
- Understanding how software platforms in the end to end flow will need to be changed to deliver the required functionality
- Working with users and stakeholders to plan and conduct testing, and showcasing the output of each sprint
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Experience with working on investments platforms (any asset classes are fine – such as equities, fixed income, funds, structured notes, OTC derivatives etc) in the front, middle or back office (we have requirements for analysts in all areas)
- Ideally experience of an agile, product-centric way of working
- Clear and concise communication skills to help everyone in the squad understand what is needed to create a great solution
- Specific things that you have worked on in the past are less important than your approach to solving problems and collaborating with others in the team – we are looking for very smart people who can bring different ways of thinking to problems and are keen to work on something that is genuinely transformational
