The CASS Governance & Oversight and UK Outsourcing Team is responsible for the regulatory governance framework that supports the SMF24’s prescribed responsibilities for CASS Governance & Oversight and Outsourcing in accordance with FCA / PRA requirements.
Job description: The position forms part of the CASS Governance & Oversight and UK Outsourcing Team within CIB Operations. The team undertakes oversight and governance in relation to ensuring JPM's compliance with a variety of local regulations across the UK and Europe. The team work closely with Operations , Business and Product Management spanning all lines of business across the Legal Entities in scope for CIB including Global Custody, Collateral Management, Funds Services , Escrow, Securities Lending, Liquidity Solutions , Derivatives, Futures and Options, FX , Equities and Fixed Income . In addition, the team partner with Compliance, Audit and Risk.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Co-ordinate monthly attestation requests via automated workflow tools across multiple lines of businesses/functions and assess CASS/UK Outsourcing impact with the internal groups within CASS Governance & Oversight and Outsourcing Team. Follow up as required with the resolution of discrepancies and further clarification as required
- Support the Head of CASS Governance & Oversight and UK Outsourcing with the co-ordination, creation, and submission of required documentation and complimentary briefing notes for Legal Entity Forums, Boards, Audit and Oversight Committees/Forums
- Assist in engagements with Audit, Risk, Compliance and Regulators including the production of relevant documentation and adequate recordkeeping when requested
- Identify root causes of key challenges, working collaboratively with CASS Accountable Managers to ensure that all relevant lines of business have considered and addressed the risks in relation to CASS across CIB in the UK
- Proactively identify potential risks and inter-dependencies; and propose improvements, including through playing a critical role in technology enhancements and any associated implementation
- Work on the review of the CASS control framework in place across CIB and identify/propose enhancement to processes and controls
- Work with the CASS Governance & Oversight and Outsourcing Team to develop and improve its risk identification, reporting and oversight processes

- The ability to work innovatively, independently and deliver consistently to a high standard.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively whilst balancing the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.
- A working understanding of the CASS rules and how they apply to CIB.
- Knowledge of the various components of the CIB (e.g., how its various functions and businesses are organised) would be advantageous.
- An ability to identify potential efficiencies and leveraging technology to gain those efficiencies would be advantageous.
- Experience of working with new datasets and designing useful and effective reporting using those datasets - experience using Signavio, Alteryx and Tableau would be beneficial
