Network Management is a central function within the CIB Digital & Platform Services organization responsible for managing the J.P. Morgan’s Lines of Business (“LOBs”) relationships with their network of local market participants and market infrastructures. These critical providers include Financial Market Infrastructures (“FMIs”) (payment systems, central counterparties (CCPs), and check clearing systems) and Agent Banks (subcustodians, cash correspondents, partners, and clearing banks).
With over 190 resources, the Network Management team is primarily located in London, Bournemouth, New York, Tampa, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports all J.P. Morgan’s lines of business including Corporate & Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer & Community Banking.
The FMI Global Co-Head role requires a transformative leader to reorganize and redesign the specific risk assessment and relationship management requirements for FMIs. This includes identifying an effective approach to apply to Cash and Securities FMIs. The Co-Heads will have to partner effectively to manage the global team and deliver the highest quality FMI assessments. The new FMI organization will have a matrix reporting line into the Global Heads of Cash and Securities Network.
This role will also be accountable for LOB Representative responsibilities related to Markets and Global Clearing. This includes managing internal relationships and connecting the businesses to their markets and providers. The LOB Relationship activities require a deep stakeholder engagement within Markets and Global Clearing to champion business needs, act as a central point of contact and advise the business about market standards, changes and trends. This aspect of the role requires both a risk and controls and relationship management mind-set.
Roles and Responsibilities:
FMI Global Co-Head (America) & LOB Representative (Markets and Global Clearing)is accountable for managing a team as well as LOB face-off, specifically:
- Continue to enhance the Global FMI Oversight team.
- Working as co-heads to effectively manage the team to ensure they demonstrate a deep understanding of and compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements for FMIs in the applicable JPM jurisdictions required.
- Managing the externally facing FMI relationships to support LOB interests for the firm.
- Actively participating in crisis management activities when an FMI is involved.
- Accountable for reviewing FMI oversight activities for accuracy to ensure the underlying work is complete, correct and complies with regulatory, policy and procedural deadlines.
- Acting as an escalation to senior management for any issues that might impact the completion of FMI legal and regulatory requirements and formulating remediation plans.
- Representing Network Management during committees and governance forums and actively participating in preparing materials for said activities.
- Coordinating with the Global and Regional Heads to ensure a consistent approach is maintained across Network Management for activities that span the group and driving best practice and innovation initiatives in partnership with other regional heads.
- Responsible for ensuring the team maintains a culture for partnership, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Developing a deep partnership with the Regulatory & Legal team.
- Serving as a single point of contact for Network Management to Markets and Global Clearing. .
- Deep understanding of the LOB profiles, understanding their networks and products.
- Interacting with senior managers in Markets and Global Clearing regarding strategic management of the network, FMI relationships and advocacy opportunities.
- Training Network Managers about Markets and Global Clearing needs and strategy, building common goals and delivering LOB objectives according to timelines.
- Offering and implementing solutions to address challenges, identifying developing trends across markets to help the LOB offer a competitive advantage to its clients.
- Understanding, articulating, and influencing strategic spend management and service delivery outcomes to senior managers in Network and the LOBs.

- Demonstrated relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills across senior stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of Markets’ and Global Clearing’s products and services.
- Highly proficient business writing skills required.
- Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work across the global Network Management team and continually deliver value.
