About The Role:
JPMorgan is one of the largest Global Custody and Clearing organisations in the world - with offices, operations and clients throughout the world. This role is responsible for leading the development of core product enhancements and targeted tactical solutions to meet the extensive needs of the clients and prospects for the Global Custody and Clearing business. Our aim is to position J.P. Morgan as 'best in class' with clients and prospects. The Product Development Team also maintains and expands subject matter expertise, providing thought leadership in the Global Custody product space. The Product Development Team is organized along functional lines broken down into 4 key product "towers" and is distributed globally:
- Asset Servicing
- Positions and Settlements
- Cash
- Direct Custody
This position, within the Product Development team, will be located in London. As part of Securities Services wider strategy around Direct Custody, we are seeking to hire an experienced Product Development SME, to focus on Business Requirements for a number of markets, and advancing our strategic platform to help close product gaps and rapidly adapt to business and regulatory change. The product and operating model proposed for Direct Custody involves a strategically significant development for the custody product overall and therefore the individual in the role will be a key contributor to the development of the same model in other locations.
The successful candidate will primarily focus on developing functionality on our Positions & Settlements and Asset Servicing platforms, while also coordinating across the wider Securities Services organization to enable adoption of the platforms and any required changes to operating models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product leads in Securities Services and senior members of Product Development to design and deliver key elements of the strategic Positions & Settlements and Asset Servicing platforms
- Interact with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver a strategic P&S product offering.
- Partner with Operations to identify and remediate existing manual workflows
- Work with the technology team in the development of the strategic Positions & Settlements and Asset Servicing infrastructure
- Coordinate the user testing and rollout of new products, managing feedback and implementing additional enhancements based on priorities
- Manage effective working group meetings across Product, Operations and Technology to deliver on key services and tools
- Working with external sub custodians and CSDs where required to determine product knowledge
- Partner with Sales & Marketing/Client Service to develop, brand and communicate new products to our external clients
- Participate in and contribute to the broader Securities Services Custody Product Development teamwide forums
- Identify opportunities for improvement, presenting them to senior management and helping to affect change
Qualifications:
The candidate preferably has direct Securities Services, Asset Servicing or Settlements experience or worked in a securities, investment management and / or global custody environment. Previous project management or management reporting experience would be an advantage. They will be able to:

- Guide product enhancements through requirement development, product testing and release management; deliver on-time and under-budget
