JPMC's Audit Department reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and is further accountable to the Chairman and CEO, senior management, and regulatory agencies. Internal Audit is an independent function that provides objective assurance guided by a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations of the organization. The department has in excess of 1200 auditors, located in key locations across the globe.

The Audit Department is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environments across the firm's lines of business. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage that is performed and managed by an integrated team of financial business and technology specialists. The team’s priorities are focused on strong governance, transparency, strategic engagement and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that focuses on people development

The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Vice President-Technology Auditor, based in London, will report directly to the EME AWM Technology Audit Director and be responsible for assisting with ongoing risk assessment, control identification, audit execution and continuous monitoring activities across the AWM technology organization. The team also works closely with the Line of Business Audit team to ensure consistent coverage of the AWM business. This position is ideal for an individual that has knowledge of various technologies, operating systems, databases, network components and the investment management and private banking businesses, as well as the audit and risk skills to be able to effectively lead global audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global technology audit engagements including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, audit report drafting and follow-up and verification of issue closure.
  • Effectively manage team members during audit engagements including performing timely reviews and providing constructive feedback.
  • Will be accountable for meeting deliverable deadlines, adhering to department and professional standards and utilizing consistent methodology.
  • Communicate audit findings to management and identify opportunities for improvement in the design and effectiveness of key controls.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior technology stakeholders, establishing a culture of engagement while adding value.
  • Proactive coordination/interaction with the Global Corporate Sector and Line of Business Audit teams.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive internal/external auditing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or relevant financial services experience) required.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of technology processes, such as change management, security operations, technology operations, and business resiliency, as well as application and infrastructure controls.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, CFRS) or willingness to pursue required.
  • Must have knowledge of the investment management lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to multitask, complete projects on time and on budget, and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness.
  • Proficiency in risk analysis and report preparation.
  • Proven ability and desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically. Ability to lead audits and manage participating team members.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across the technology and business teams.
  • Ability to multitask and execute audit activities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability.
