As part of our mission, we are seeking an Associate User Experience (UX) Researcher to join our team. This role will help drive the user experience research discipline within Employee Channels by working with cross-functional teams charged with implementing transformational solutions across the intranet and mobile channels.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about mixed-methods research, passionate about understanding people, and motivated to leverage user-centered design principles to inform the design of solutions that improve the user experience for employees across the firm. This role will require the individual to be comfortable in a fast-paced organization, open-minded about learning new skills and excited to collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, Content Strategists, and other key members of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an experienced practitioner of mixed-research methodologies used to gather user insights at various stages of the product development lifecycle
  • Design and execute research that supports the objectives of the channel and that provides insights into the employee’s pain-points and needs
  • Participate in decisions on the right processes, methods, and tools for creative problem-solving
  • Plan, lead, facilitate, analyze, and report on various research initiatives
  • Communicate research findings through artifacts such as personas, journeys, task analyses, as needed and at all levels of the product operating model
  • Partner closely with Product Managers to influence the product strategy and product roadmaps with validate user researching findings
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, effectively integrating your research into the problem definition and design-solution phases
  • Validate design decisions through a continuous discovery process that utilizes participatory design, early concept testing, formative and summative usability testing
  • Help standardize our research protocol and contribute to a repository of user research

Education and Experience

  • Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in successfully driving strategic and tactical research
  • Degree in field of Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors or a related field desirable (advanced degree a plus) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to think innovatively and develop creative solutions to research challenges
  • Experience in planning and facilitating design-thinking workshops
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; creatively uses storytelling to share research findings clearly and persuasively across varying leadership levels
  • Successful at conducting user research that ultimately leads to breakthrough design solutions
  • Experience planning, developing, and executing user research and usability testing using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
