Business Overview & Role Description:
The Securities Service business manages over $150bn of cash liability balances related to assets under custody. Within the Securities Services Cash & FX Product team, you will be part of a team responsible for Cash products and solutions in support of client business globally. You will work with the global Cash & Liquidity teams on requirements for cash management and payment activity across J.P. Morgan’s agent network. You will work with colleagues across J.P. Morgan including Treasury, Treasury Services, and Wholesale Payments Operations.
As part of the Cash Product team, you will be responsible for building our account management solutions for cash, underpinning the cash capabilities which support Securities Services clients globally. Working in partnership with colleagues across Global Custody, Wholesale Payments, you will define and manage our account management product solution to support Securities Services clients, across both securities linked and standalone cash accounts – which underpins our capabilities to deliver securities settlements, payments and account solutions to clients globally. As the account solution world evolves with the emergence of virtual accounts, you will help deliver Securities Services evolution towards new account structures, balancing the needs of clients with the requirements of the regulatory environment in multiple jurisdictions. Based in London, the Cash Product Manager: Account Management will be responsible for supporting product definition and financial performance of Cash capabilities, within Custody and Fund Services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a robust understanding of the Securities Services client base and market dynamics - competition, regulatory changes, emerging client requirements and product needs
- Drive the commercial strategy for cash products, uplift billing capabilities, developing pricing solutions and enhancing revenue recognition for our cash product solutions – minimising revenue leakage and enhancing commercial outcomes.
- Identify and target commercial opportunities in the cash arena
- Build and manage solutions for recovery of payment chain charges, working across the deposit center footprint within Securities Services globally
- Build out comprehensive account population review model to improve account hygiene for the Securities Services cash account portfolio globally
- Own and manage the Payment Services Directive 2 program for Securities Services
- Support, development, implementation, and management of cash account structures for Securities Services across demand deposit accounts, Securities linked cash accounts and other emerging solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve the cash product offering and enhance client experience,
- Act as the escalation point for product related questions within the region and ensure suitable resolution and management of issues.
- Drive coordination with the Wholesale Payments division of CIB, which is responsible for cash management and cash payments infrastructure for the firm, including all investments and development efforts related to that infrastructure
- Support Ad-hoc research and resolution of daily issues, data requests, reporting requirements, as well as regulatory requests
Your Background:
The successful candidate will have worked in a Securities Services, Treasury Services or Markets environment for a significant period of time in a Product Management, Product Development, Operations, or Technology role.
Key attributes include:
- Knowledge of cross border payments and clearing infrastructures, understanding of payment chain and account structures (demand deposit accounts, securities accounts, virtual accounts).
- Experience within Product, Risk and Business Management disciplines.
- Strong analytical skills in terms of process and operating model re-engineering and understanding clients needs related to Cash.
- Be able to research the anticipated needs of clients; through a combination of "own" research as well as coordination across a number of key partners.
- Be keen to understand the competitive landscape; understanding the features and functions of competitor offerings.
- Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and influence management skills, ability to articulate complex ideas and analytics in a succinct way.
- Ability to perform in a high pressure, team environment, working across time zones and geographies.
