The leveraged finance debt capital markets team works directly with issuers and borrowers, including corporations, private equity sponsors, and other entities that seek funding. J.P. Morgan advises these clients on debt financing strategies, from a simple bank loan to multi-billion-dollar capital raises across asset classes. Colleagues partner across borders to deliver successful structuring, marketing, and pricing. The business then distributes transactions to investor/lender clients in close partnership with syndicate, sales, and trading.
As a seasoned Investment Banking professional, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with corporate and private equity sponsor clients, as well as investors/lenders, and working across different products. You’ll work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Lead responsibility for providing financing guidance and underwriting parameters to industry bankers, origination colleagues, and issuers/borrowers
- Developing sector expertise across specific industry verticals to drive underwriting, pricing, and structuring views
- Working closely with syndicate, sales, and trading to develop market views and to distribute high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and other products
- Developing deep, long-term relationships with investors/lenders
- Presenting and championing underwriting and other financing opportunities to senior leaders across the investment bank
- Reviewing and coordinating the work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution process forward, and Experience in training junior bankers
- Refining marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
- Identifying and managing all risks in each deal
The role will be based in London, UK or Paris, France depending on the successful candidate.
