Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile Proxy Voting reporting on a daily basis monitoring vendor performance
- Escalate & manage any Proxy Issues with Middle Office / Client Service / Vendor
- Management of account setups and closures across Global Client base
- Daily interaction and oversight of vendor, contributing to monthly scorecard
- Receive & apply instructions from clients on Proxy events, reconciling instructions before submission to market, with responsibility to manage rejections of incorrect instructions before release back to clients
- Management of Power of Attorney documents, handling ongoing interaction with legal and sub custodian through to execution
- Provide close support to our clients by timely and accurately processing of client instructions, queries and account setups
- Build in depth understanding of all processes supporting the proxy voting model
- Governance and oversight of J.P. Morgan’s proxy voting vendor, through daily review of reporting
- Ensure all controls are diligently performed and signed off on a timely basis
- Clear and concise communication with teams supporting the function, both internally and externally.
This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including but not limited to:
- Understanding of Global Custody and relevant products would be a plus, but not essential
- Clear communication skills and an ability to use these to work collaboratively, challenging as appropriate
- Ability to manage stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership
- Team player able to work well with diverse groups of people
- Organised and able to prioritise, able to successfully manage execution and attention to detail
- Some technical skills, especially Excel a plus
