This role will involve bringing together a view across the firm of current ESG data suppliers, products and associated commercials. You will then be responsible for identifying areas where the vendor landscape can be consolidated to ensure better control over the data we subscribe based on multiple uses cases across the firm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Market Data Vendor (E.g. Bloomberg, MSCI, Sustain Analytics) relationship management; owning the vendor lifecycle including ongoing vendor due diligence and oversight
  • Working with multiple lines of business coordinate activity involving Vendor contract management; new vendor contracts, renewals & contract negotiations
  • Vendor service governance; proactive vendor service & governance model to meet business needs in partnership with JPMorgan operations
  • Champion market data best practices while adhering to the firm’s data management policies
  • Intermediary across various corporate groups such as Legal, Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Market Data Services and Finance
  • Liaise with various Product, Change & Operations teams on data vendor related projects
  • Liaise with Technology and dealing with IT projects and issues impacting operations
  • Third party vendor oversight adherence
  • Act as conduit between the business and vendor to manage service enhancements
  • Market data cost oversight and cost management. Identify ways to manage and where appropriate reduce data spend
  • Devise, implement, maintain, and review vendor cost allocation methodologies used across subscribers of vendor data
  • Competitor benchmarking review across various third-party vendor products
  • Deep vendor subject matter expert to support downstream teams and clients
  • Resolve internal and external queries promptly and professionally
  • Deliver vendor service/performance packs including key vendor metrics
  • Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Third party / vendor relationship management experience
  • Solid Asset pricing, reference data experience
  • Knowledge of investment instruments security types from a pricing and reference data perspective
  • Industry-wide market data vendor & vendor product knowledge
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a team environment and interact across departments sometimes at senior levels within the firm
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Tableau and Alteryx products
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Fund Administration businesses i.e. fund accounting, custody, financial reporting, performance measurement, clearance and collateral management, markets/investment banking, and NAV lifecycle
  • Risk based mindset; drive enhancements to increase efficiency and controls
  • Partnership skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Negotiation/commercial awareness skills. Prepared to negotiate and drive complex conversations to a successful outcome for the firm
