2023 EMEA Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Analyst Program – 12 Month Internship - Western European Economics Research (London)

Over the past couple of years, the students have been involved in longer term projects involving European Demography, The Impact of Populist Parties in EU Governance, The Macroeconomic Consequences of Climate Change, the Epidemiology of Covid-19 and the Macroeconomic Consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to such projects, the student is involved with the weekly rhythm of economic analysis and publications. The work is very varied and driven in large part by current events.

The Western European Economic Research Group is part of JP Morgan’s Global Economics Team, which provides global, regional and national economic analysis to our clients around the world. Our economic analysis is widely recognised as possibly the best in the investment banking environment. Economic analysis is used to help clients manage risk, increase returns and solve complex financial problems.

The Global Economics Team is part of a broader global research group which provides analysis of equity, fixed income, currency and commodity markets. J.P. About You

Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates who are eager to learn, inquisitive, and curious and possess strong critical thinking, quantitative, and communication skills. You need to be taking an undergraduate course in economics, at an institution that supports a placement year in industry. Beyond that, what we’re most interested in are the things that make you, you: the personal qualities, outside interests and achievements beyond academia that demonstrate the kind of person you are and the perspective you could bring to the team.

Please note to be eligible for the program, you must have completed two years of your undergraduate degree and are able to take a placement year in industry.
