This is a unique opportunity to be co-located with the global head of the team in London office. In this new role, you would be developing unique industry, company and investor knowledge across a range of emerging sectors, build strong analytical and communication skills, and interact with a range of senior executives.
Job responsibilities
- You will evaluate industry, company, transaction, investor and start-up trends across multiple sectors
- You will conduct detailed macro, financial industry and company analysis and track trends across emerging industries and areas of private capital investment
- You will create clear, fact-based storylines that draw out insights and implications from research and formulate well-structured and impactful management ready content for presentations
- You will communicate key arguments and insights effectively to senior stakeholders and build relationships with them across Research and other parts of the firm
- You will develop proactive partnership with team, analysts and other experts on specific topics
- You will contribute to and lead on some interviews, group and senior level discussions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working in Equity Research, Investment Banking, PE, VC or Strategy Consulting on Associate level is required
- Confident user of Excel, MSOffice suite and market databases like Bloomberg
- Keen interest in financial markets and strong intellectual curiosity
- Strong analytical skills and ability to rapidly learn new financial, industry and technology concepts
- Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards and deliver to tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent academic background from a top-tier institution, post graduate degree or MBA preferred
- Prior experience working with senior stakeholders would be beneficial
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, some experience in programming languages like Python beneficial
