Core Responsibilities:
The Announcement Capture Transformation (ACT) team is part of the wider Corporate Action Reference Data Announcement Capture Utility, sourcing, scrubbing and providing corporate action information across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The team has a far-reaching book of work, with 60+ projects on the 2023 roadmap, and is crucial in ensuring the utility continues to deliver a premium client service whilst remaining fully scalable.
As a Project Manager in the Transformation team, you will be tasked with ensuring successful implementation of high priority projects. The group is aligned to the business, working closely with multiple lines of business on projects which are cross or multi-product/channel/geography and aligned to Corporate & Investment Banking strategic goals. You will be responsible for all aspects of Project delivery, including defining the scope, business requirements, analysis and implementation of the agreed solutions. The role requires significant stakeholder engagement in these high priority initiatives and works closely with representatives from the lines of business and with technology and external vendor teams to set strategic direction, problem solve, support execution and implement the resulting deliveries.
Job responsibilities:
- Ability to frame projects and establish required governance to move projects forward within a rapidly changing environment. Understanding of Project Management basics preferred.
- Grow understanding of the business, its clients and other stakeholders, and the product strategy, and use these to challenge assumptions.
- Demonstrate effective controls around the introduction of change and or process requirements, ensuring engaged stakeholder member participation.
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Delivery focused following the change process and agreed plan, in a controlled manner, with alignment to strategic programme milestones.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Understanding of Asset Servicing and Corporate Actions
- Use your influencing and negotiation skills to effectively manage and maintain positive relations with all project stakeholders.
- Demonstrate effective controls around the introduction of change and or process requirements, ensuring engaged stakeholder member participation.
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Delivery focused following the change process and agreed plan, in a controlled manner, with alignment to strategic programme milestones.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Project Management and/or Business Analysis experience, preferably in financial services.
- Understanding of Asset Servicing and Corporate Actions
- Knowledge of AI/ML tools
- Formal Project Management training such as Prince 2
