As a member of the Asset and Wealth Management's Product Office you will be a lively part of an internal strategy team of agile professionals, lean product managers, design thinkers and technologists that provide strategic consulting services, coaching and support to the senior leadership, product management and technology delivery teams within Asset and Wealth Management.
The team is responsible for helping product and delivery teams live the agile manifesto and embrace the transition to the Product Operating Model. The Asset and Wealth Management Product Coach (Agility Lead) will collaborate with product and engineering teams to train and support skill uplift and maturity of the product operating model. Successful candidates will have agile coaching and mentoring expertise across Discovery, planning and agile/scrum delivery best practices. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for establishing and nurturing a culture
You will also:
- Create and teach lean product and engineering training/workshop programs to help new product teams quickly achieve productivity
- Ensure product teams maintain a razor-sharp focus on the overall customer experience
- Coach teams modern XP, Lean, and Agile/Scrum practices to build high performing product teams
- Guide engineers on-the-ground to apply best practices with technical know-how, passion and empathy
- Mentor and guide Product Owners / Product Management teams on Discovery and backlog management best practices
- Ensure teams are focused on successful delivery and continuous improvement of their engineering practices
- Mentor and influence leaders on benefits of adopting the product operating model and partner to support their team’s continuous improvement opportunities
- Have a passion for coaching people and helping them reach their full potential
- Contribute to Product Office tools, templates, workshop materials and best practices
As a member of the coaching team you will dive head-first into delivering innovative solutions that advance products. You’ll join an inspiring team of delivery leaders and technologists to create and improve the tools, processes, and techniques to effectively build high quality software and new products.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Be fluent with software development methodologies and practices (XP, Scrum, Lean) and have relevant of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or other Agile role (e.g. Product Owner, Tech Lead) with at least one year of large scale, multiple team effort
- Expertise in product backlog management and refinement techniques, continuous improvement of structure, processes, and tooling to enable the teams to deliver more value
- Understanding of software design and automation (DevOps) pattern and have knowledge of Test Automation, Pair Programming, and Test-Driven Development
- Consulting and facilitation skills in leading product teams and ability to influence and mentor senior leadership on agile mindset and practices
- Possess a “can do” attitude, are driven by research, problem solving, and thrive on challenges
- Innovative team player with strong analytical problem solving, crisis management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a cross functional team to obtain desired results
