Working as a Functional Architect, your passion for technology and thirst for innovation will help understand, define and shape the functional capabilities, application and data flows to align them to target state business capabilities and models. You’ll bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, working with teams of architects, aligning cross-functional projects, products and capabilities, ensuring that they’re within reason, fiscally and technically. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound Target State Architectures. Your experience in business, operations and change management, with the ability to perform at a lead level and influence strategic decision-makers and functional stakeholders will be critical for this role. Foundational experience in business architecture, specifically in designing and implementing an integrated platform from a functional or technical perspective is also critical.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in business and requirements analysis, including good communication and stakeholder management skills (all levels up to managing director), able to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardisation, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility, as well as understanding and documenting internal processes, data flows and application interactions to design functional solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
- Knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture
- Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
- Experience in risk and risk control compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
