Job Summary:

Based in London, the successful analyst will be a core member of the FIG team & will work closely with the EMEA FIG Head, two Managing Directors, two Executive Directors and a Vice President who are the coverage bankers for some of the firm’s largest bank, insurance and other financial institution clients.

The Global Corporate Bank manages J.P. Morgan's overall relationships with large corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations globally. We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments. Clients benefit from dedicated coverage provided by experienced corporate bankers, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform across more than 60 countries worldwide. We leverage the capital strength of JPMorgan Chase and extend credit to help clients grow their business.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assisting Corporate Bankers in managing existing client relationships globally
  • Managing the approval and execution of credit transactions, including loan return modelling, developing the commercial business case, supporting credit and balance sheet approval and oversight of the documentation execution process
  • Working in close partnership with Investment Banking Coverage and with product partners including Debt Capital Markets, Payments, Markets, Securities Services and Asset Management to market materials/pitches and supporting the execution of their transactions
  • Assisting in client portfolio management, including preparing senior executive meeting briefings, industry financial analysis, listening to earnings calls, maintaining revenue tracking and pipeline reports, and assisting with know your customer requirements
  • Keeping abreast of ongoing developments in the areas impacting FI clients, such as regulatory developments, political background or market trends in the financial industry

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Trusted team player with a high level of self-motivation and strong academic record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and excel skills. Comfort with financial statements helpful
  • Fluency in English essential;

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Fluency in German and/or French is highly beneficial
  • Previous business experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Credit or Payments is advantageous but not required
