As Payments - Regulatory Strategy (Control) Manager - Vice President You will be responsible for supporting the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function in the delivery of firm-wide global regulatory strategic initiatives and GRDE specific engagements. Your particular focus will be on reviewing regulatory data and publications, and providing strategic insights for payments leadership.

Job Responsibilities

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including the ability to:

  • Analyse large quantity of regulatory publications impacting the Payment business to provide succinct summary and insightful thematic management reports
  • Assist in building a one-stop shop for regulatory strategy insight and provide expertise on the direction and scope of change regarding payments consultation papers and regulations which will help the business to navigate complex regulatory environment
  • Work with the leadership team to enhance the GRDE operating model
  • Work effectively with relevant stakeholders to identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Work with the business and legal counsel to perform analysis on the regulatory impact of new business initiatives
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communications skills to achieve results and provide direction

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Extensive regulatory experience in a strategy environment
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of financial products and services for the Payments business and for financial regulations.
  • Solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to interpret data for insights able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce high quality presentations
  • Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify decision making
  • Legal and Regulatory qualifications would be ideal
  • Experience working with regulators and /consulting environment on regulatory strategy
