The JPM Global FX Options business is amongst the leading FX derivatives businesses in the market. We provide bespoke hedges and trading strategies for a broad range of clients and market participants, and manage the risks associated with this liquidity provision.
An opening has arisen for an Associate/Analyst to join the business in a structuring/exotic specialist role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior structurers on pricing, solutions and execution.
  • Work closely with the senior flow traders on portfolio risk, and p/l management.
  • Partner with other stakeholders (sales, quantitative research, technology and control functions) to develop new ideas, grow the franchise, improve efficiency and conduct business according to firm policy.
  • Develop own views on pricing/risk management and be able to challenge the status quo of thought.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Some knowledge of derivative products (through academic background or past professional experience)
  • Previous experience working or interacting with Sales and Trading
  • Strong interest in markets

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand structured derivatives and assess the underlying risks
  • Ability to make some recommendation on pricing and communicate strategic approach

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
