As a client service associate, you will be responsible for the provision of performance measurement and/or risk management analysis to institutional and/or asset management clients. Your role will require you to interpret and communicate return and risk reporting information to clients and internal partners. You will provide their assigned clients a comprehensive view of the portfolio’s overall composition and performance results on an absolute and relative basis. You will help determine key factors that improve performance and compare results to peer groups and universes with the ability to provide a detailed picture of structural characteristics and performance attribution at the plan, equity and fixed-income level. You will be expected to generate and interpret various equity and fixed income performance and risk measurement analytics; obtain data and analysis in accordance with established procedures and create spreadsheet macros and develop reports for clients. You will interface with clients on day to day reporting requests.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in RFPs and client meetings as required
- Resolve issues relating to daily performance measurement and daily attribution
- Acts as a resource and representative for the performance group internally and externally
- Establish and maintain relationships with all key partners to help streamline the core operations processing through people, process & technology changes
- Partner with Product Development and Technology to help automate/streamline operations processes which enhance client experience and build scalability into the business
- Partner with Client Service to help change client behavior where required
- Interpret and write commentary on performance results and calculate rates of return
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Some experience working in a performance and/or accounting environment preferred
- BA/BS or equivalent preferably in business/finance or mathematics
- Excel proficiency a must
- Positive attitude with a willingness to work hard and be on a steep learning curve
- Must have a willingness to work on and learn new software applications
- Must have good communications skills and be a team player
- Attention to detail with demonstrated problem solving ability
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with performance/risk applications and GIPS benchmark composition
- MBA, CFA, CIPM
