As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead a Cash Account Management & Intraday Liquidity team within CAP Technology and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices

Job responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
  • Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
  • Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
  • Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
  • Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience leading technology projects
  • Experience managing technologists
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Passionate about people – their well-being and career development
  • Strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to present ideas and concepts as part of a large, collaborative group

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with Java (8 and above)
  • Experience with Front End technologies e.g. JavaScript, React, AngularJS)
  • Experience with Git source control system
  • Experience with DevOps including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools e.g. Jenkins, Sonar
