JP Morgan is looking for talented Junior Sous Chef to join our resident Amenity Services department in London, UK
As a Junior Sous Chef in amenity services, you will deputize duties of the Senior Sous Chef in their absence from site. Support the day to day kitchen activities in a professional flexible and pro-active manner and to the highest of standards for the Clients. Assist in directing team, and monitoring of operations. Maintains client customer relations. Actively partakes in personnel planning, training and development.
Job responsibilities
- Running the kitchen in the absence of the sous chef and the head chef.
- Helping to train more junior members of staff.
- Assuming responsibility for stock takes.
- Learning the ordering systems.
- Meeting with suppliers.
- Health and safety, and food hygiene responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of a fast paced, high standards driven working kitchen environment in CDP, Junior Sous Chef position
- Strong team player with an ability to pull together multiple partners in a productive, team environment
- Ability to motivate themselves and others around them
- An energy and enthusiasm for learning and developing
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and operate in a changeable environment
- Culinary qualifications (NVQs, apprentice, etc)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- A desire to be a part of JPMC’s sustainability goals and minimise the environmental impact of the department
- Basic MS Office skills valuable
