The Data Management group sits within the Chief Technology Office as part of Global Technology at JPMorgan Chase, and operates firmwide, liaising with different lines of business to deliver innovative data management products, services and value add solutions. The Data Management product line is delivered via JPMC Advanced Data Ecosystem (JADE), a comprehensive data management solution that facilitates in making JPMC’s data discoverable, understandable, observable, trustworthy, accessible and interoperable for authorized personas to drive BI and AI/ML initiatives with agility and velocity. It includes center of excellences for multiple product lines, such as Data Lake (DL), Data Migrations Services (DMS), Unified Data Catalog and Controls (UDCC), JADE Foundational Services (JFS), and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence services, to drive digital transformation, cloud adoption and AI/ML capabilities throughout the firm.

As an experienced member of our Product Management Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. You will be working in a high-performing team of product owners, UX designers & researchers and software engineers building a variety of cutting edge, cloud native, business-critical features for JADE Catalog, JPMC’s firm-wide data catalog (think Amazon but for data). You will be contributing to high-profile initiatives with a focus on ensuring optimal UX to drive adoption across the firm – from supporting JP Morgan's transition to a Data Product-oriented organisation to rationalizing and integrating tools/capabilities across the wider JADE ecosystem. Your day to day will involve looking for the next big opportunity to elevate our product, developing UX prototypes, presenting to stakeholders and working with our dedicated engineering team to bring the product vision to life.

Responsibilities
  • Know and understand your customers/stakeholders, work with them to identify problems to be solved and balance their perspectives and needs
  • Contribute to the product vision and roadmap and help communicate to our partner teams and customers
  • Guide story creation, refine stories with the wider feature team and prioritize backlog items
  • Influence and ensure metamodel and logical model developments support business requirements and offer pragmatic solutions
  • Influence UX/UI design to ensure what’s built satisfies requirements, reduces friction, and aligns with our design system
  • Test stories against acceptance criteria and capture evidence to support accepting/rejecting stories
  • Develop and monitor analytics/metrics (e.g., Adobe) to help test benefit hypotheses and inform decision making
  • Partner across the other product teams to understand dependencies, coordinate activities and deliveries
  • Represent the product and drive adoption firm-wide

Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Strong background in product management, business analysis or UX
  • Extensive experience working under Agile and Product based development model
  • Good understanding of UX principles and activities (e.g., research, design)
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence essential (e.g., writing initiatives, epics & stories)
  • Experience working in Figma preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and work from data models
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices, particularly in the cloud, data cataloging and data management space
  • Ability to influence and partner/collaborate to drive cross-functional teams
  • Highly-organized and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
