Join Global Institutional Structuring, a cross asset and global team within Global Markets that designs, develops, and executes solutions and contents across all asset classes.
We partner closely with our global Salesforce and Trading to offer best-in-class product knowledge, transaction origination, structuring and deal execution. We are involved in Rates, Equities, Credit and Strategic Risk Transfer solutions, with a focus on complex product design and execution for investors in the Institutional space.
As an Executive Director, in this role, you would be focusing on Emerging Markets solution structuring, as part of the London-based Global Institutional Structuring team. You will have the direct accountability for business results, by creating a strong partnership within the broader sales, structuring and trading organizations to bring ideas from concepts to tradable products, balancing the requirements of all involved parties.
Job Responsibilities
- You will be partnering with EMEA sales and EM trading to facilitate exposure to Emerging Markets as an asset class for EMEA institutional investors
- You will be partnering with Emerging Markets sales covering CEE, CIS, MENA and the Sub-Saharan regions around cross asset solution trades for local investors
- Transactions in your scope will include asset side investments, hedging overlays, access products, and risk recycling
- You will demonstrate in practice your expertise in the transaction origination, trade ideas and marketing, pricing and execution, as well as the legal and regulatory knowledge across a variety of client jurisdictions and delivery wrappers
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- You bring significant experience within a transactional role in the Emerging Markets space
- You have in-depth client knowledge in Emerging Markets region to assist local sales teams in transaction origination
- You can demonstrate extensive knowledge of Emerging Markets asset class (including Emerging Markets FX, Rates and Credit) and local markets regulatory frameworks
- You think strategically and creatively, with excellent attention to detail
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can engage and influence partners and stakeholders: you can communicate concepts and ideas with influence, also via documentation, and you are keen to defend their validity and tailor messages to different audiences
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment of real-time market pressures and easily remain focused on client needs
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Science. Master’s degree preferred
- Fluency in local languages of one or more of the EM regions in scope a plus
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
