The position forms part of the Client Asset (CASS) Governance & Oversight and UK Outsourcing Team who are responsible for the regulatory governance framework that supports the SMF24/SMF19’s prescribed responsibilities for CASS Governance & Oversight and Outsourcing in accordance with FCA / PRA requirements. You will be undertaking oversight and governance in relation to ensuring J.P. Morgan's compliance with a variety of local regulations across the UK and Europe. As part of the team, you will work closely with Operations, Business and Product Management spanning all lines of business across the In-Scope Legal Entities. In addition, the team partner with Compliance, Audit and Risk.

The Nutmeg CASS Oversight Manager will be responsible for the oversight of Nutmeg’s compliance with the FCA’s CASS regulations in the UK.

Job responsibilities

  • Production of the monthly CMAR submissions and performance of the daily client money reconciliation
  • Breach management, including reporting on potential breaches and supporting lines of business with remediation
  • Coordination of the annual external CASS audit and any other scheduled internal audits/compliance testing.
  • Management of the CASS Resolution Pack (CASS RP)
  • Supporting in the review of new business and product initiatives to ensure they align to the FCA’s CASS requirements
  • Identifying and providing relevant CASS training as required and reviewing existing processes and procedures to ensure they continue to be appropriate
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the business and operations

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Deep understanding of UK CASS rules and their application
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Must be a self-starter, pro-active, organized, with a keen eye on details and have the ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to drive change
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Client/Customer Focus – Engagement with key senior stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, intuitive and possess initiative to identify potential process improvements across all business areas

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Experience in a financial services environment
  • Experience in manging and fixing system issues
  • Experience in negotiating and influencing within a large organisation at senior manager level
  • Experience of the application of FCA / PRA / MiFID rules
