As a Product Specialist, you will be part of Product Team and provide support for various initiatives and any associated business transformation projects. You may be involved in multiple initiatives, working across the whole Product lifecycle, researching new initiatives, business process changes, configuration changes or system modifications. Through collaborative partnership with Business, Operations counterparts, and as part of a Triad with Design, Research and Technology, you will work on product deliverables. Primary areas of focus will include Product discovery work and analysis, design and requirements gathering and development in an Agile fashion and by partnering with Scrum Teams on two week sprints but also process modelling and redesign, user interaction (gathering feedback, providing training and day to day collaboration). As a Product Specialist, you will critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Additionally, you will assist in the overall coordination and management of the product, including status, scorecards, and other key product management functions.
Job responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various areas of Operations, Middle Office, Finance and Technology to build business requirements, procedures, and processes. This will include product delivery management, requirements management (elicitation, documentation, prioritization, etc.), process mapping, process design, procedure authoring, org design, capacity sizing, etc.
- Conduct data analysis, data collection, and synthesis to translate into empirical solutions or evidence that can optimize our set of Products.
- Work with the Triad and business partners to design, introduce, or re-engineer existing processes and business applications
- Conduct product management, planning and analysis, including, documenting business requirements via stories, detailing issues and problems, and drafting business and technical work/data flows
- Facilitate or support product management, create materials for presentation, and provide reporting/metrics as required
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is desirable
- Product management / business analysis experience including knowledge and exposure to Agile / Scrum ceremonies
- Good communication and presentations skills with the ability to deal with different stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, procedures, and processes
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve product-related issues and follow through with set objectives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organise, and prioritise work
