The EMEA Banking Legal Team provides advice and support to the M&A, Lending and Capital Markets businesses across EMEA. In order to support the team, EMEA Banking Legal Team is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Paralegal to be based in London. The duties and functions will require organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, sound decision-making, independent judgment and the ability to escalate serious or unique problems as appropriate.

Job responsibilities
- Review and negotiation of a high volume of non-disclosure agreements to the key businesses we support, namely M&A IB, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Global Corporate Bank and Securitised Products Businesses
- Reviewing and re-drafting powers of attorney in relation to transactions in line with JPMorgan policy requirements, performing law firm related and internal coordination of execution
- Legal opinion review in relation to transactions across the department with particular focus on credit products and capital markets
- Review and negotiation of additional transaction and closing documents, including but not limited to, fee letters, non-reliance letters, termination and amendment letters and disclaimers
- Project work for the right candidate, based on performance, to include engagement with internal legal teams; also deck creation through use of PitchPro / PowerPoint
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Law degree
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to issue-spot and quickly become familiar with JPMorgan policy requirements of the various products
- Team player who can build networks and collaborate with the legal and business teams effectively and professionally at all levels
- Positive, common sense and constructive attitude. Flexible, willing and open to change
- Excellent drafting skills, high level of attention to detail and solution-orientated
