Job Summary
JPMorgan Chase’s Investment Middle Office (IMOS) acts as the Middle Office for our clients across a range of products, including but not limited to Listed Securities, Cash, ETDs, OTCs, Repos, Bank Loans and CFDs
IMOS deals with all stages of the lifecycle for each product from broker matching, management of the client’s custodial network, lifecycle events including corporate events, ensuring timely settlement of trades and cash, management of claims and overdrafts, client / regulatory reporting and input into the production of our Investment Book of Record delivery (IBOR).
As a IMOS Asset Servicing - Client Service Associate, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Corporate Actions covering the full lifecycle from Announcement Capture to Payments within IMOS Asset Servicing.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely processing of Corporate Actions covering the full lifecycle from Announcement Capture to Payments.
- Liaising with agent banks and custodians to improve processes and client experience.
- Ensuring 100% responses are received and sent on Corporate Action elections.
- Proactively provide support to internal teams including Risk Management and Client Facing teams across regions..
- Understanding the control environment and ensuring daily checks are completed and assist with any team and departmental projects.
- Working closely with Technology, Product and Operations partners to deliver Change
- Participating and leading meetings at the operational level on change initiatives impacting Asset Servicing.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Full lifecycle Corporate Actions & processing knowledge
- Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
- Good experience of Investment Banking Operational areas (Trades, Cash and Reconciliations)
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives.
- Experience working under pressure to tight deadlines.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Alteryx.
- Understanding of all corporate action events both mandatory and voluntary across all global markets.
- Client Service and Middle Office exposure.
- Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle.
