Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including broad market, long duration, stable value, intermediate high yield, emerging market debt, short and ultra-short duration, global bonds, structured products, mortgages and tax-aware strategies.
Role Summary
JPMorgan Asset Management’s Global Fixed Income Currency & Commodities (GFICC) Trading Team is responsible for executing trades on behalf of our clients across several business lines. This specific role is for a Rates Trader located in our London office, reporting into the Head of International Trading.
Job Responsibilities
- Executing primarily developed government fixed income (Bonds, Inflation, Agency, SSAs, interest rate futures, interest rate swaps, inflation swaps, options) trades.
- Strong fundamental and technical market skills.
- Operating and contributing to the Trade Cost Analysis (TCA) process.
- Presenting trade ideas, communicating market flows and color insights to our investment teams.
- Building broker relationships and participating in broker performance reviews.
- Presenting trading capabilities to current and prospective clients.
- Representing Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities trading to both internal and external constituents.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum BA/BSc with preference in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fixed income trading.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to articulate findings (writing sample will be required as part of final round).
- Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- CFA Charterholder, CFA candidate or MBA preferred.
- Strong technology skills proficiency in Tradeweb, Bloomberg and Market Axess.
- Experience trading government instruments (bonds and derivatives).
