You will lead the Business Controls Agenda for Equity Derivatives globally participating in key initiatives across a diverse set of issues that directly impact the organization, particularly the UK Supervisory framework.

The role will continue to evolve with a focus on the design governance, ownership, enhancement, and execution of controls, covering the Business, Operations and Technology with sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

Examples of activities typically associated with roles of this type:

  • Ownership and delivery of high-profile projects including assessment of required work, resourcing and timelines & facilitate the execution of various Supervisory controls, attestations and exception management
  • Lead development, review and implementation of Policies and Procedures on Front Office Supervision , and the build-out of corresponding Front Office Supervisory tools
  • Coordinate Regulatory, Audit and Compliance testing activities, and adherence to the Operational Risk Management Framework
  • Achieving stakeholder buy-in and partnership across functions and sub business lines to incorporate a range of perspectives to help ensure responsibilities for delivering program deliverables are well understood
  • Implementing a project governance structure and disciplines including accurate and timely reporting to support delivery of initiatives
  • Lead communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure stakeholders are aware of milestones and project status through use of good project management routines and disciplines (working groups agendas, materials, minutes ensuring clear ownership of actions)
  • Progressing multiple projects with varying delivery timeframes & proactively identifying areas as candidates for efficiency and process improvements, making connections across disciplines and teams

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • You will be active in a diverse set of initiatives that have impact on the wider organization
  • Strong project management experience in delivering high pressure projects from infancy to implementation
  • Strong knowledge of Markets, and especially Equity Securities and Derivatives through the product lifecycle
  • An investigative mind-set, ability to see issues at both a high-level and in detail (think big and small) and understand applicability across the wider organization

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Strong project management experience in delivering projects from infancy to implementation
  • Strong knowledge of Markets, and especially Equity Securities and Derivatives through the product lifecycle
  • An investigative mind-set, ability to see issues at both a high-level and in detail (think big and small) and understand applicability across the wider organization
  • Solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to synthesize data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills required to work with colleagues in various teams across the Corporate Investment Bank lines of business and support functions
  • A sound understanding of controls and how to apply them to different processes, with experience in Controls and/or Business Management and an understanding of the characteristics of the Markets business
