Trade Support Associate (Operations) -Team Supervisor

The primary purpose of the Trade Support function is to ensure trades are booked timely and accurately. The Trade Support group is a fast-paced and exciting team that offers the opportunity to learn and grow experience across multiple asset classes. As a middle office function, our team interacts directly with Investment Managers, Portfolio Managers, Trading group in addition to many other operational groups.

As part of the trade support function you will be responsible for ensuring that Mutual Funds trades instructed by investors reach the counterparty for execution as expected. Once executed, we are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate settlement and reflection on accounting systems of these trades.

Job responsibilities:

• Deliver Excellent Service: Oversight, monitoring and execution of daily processes and controls to ensure trades are captured on an accurate and timely basis
• Escalation Contact Point: Will be at the forefront as a first point of contact for internal stakeholders for escalation of issues associated with trade capture
• Accountable for achieving remediation and resolution of Issues: Will be resourceful and proactive in driving escalation and remediation of key risk exceptions to ensure mitigation of risks
• Innovation: Will be a culture carrier for encouraging and supporting innovation and delivering process improvements to build long term scalability and minimise manual touchpoints
• Staff Management & Planning: Responsible for own and may be responsible for others workload and performance development building and contributing to a diverse, high performing function

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• A proven track record working in a settlement, or trade support/middle office environment
• A team player that collaborates well with other teams and can adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Delivery and execution focused with excellent attention to detail
• Takes an ownership approach of issues and looks at way to remediate and improve processes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Worked with FX, Structured Products, Equities, Fixed Income products previously
• Supervised/Managed in a settlement and or trade support/middle group function
