Markets Portfolio Management – Data Services – Vice President

Job Summary:
As a Vice President Data Services within our Markets Portfolio Management team, you will be a part of the front-office function within Trading. This function was established to support client and revenue growth initiatives through the active management and allocation of financial resources, while taking into account the firm’s binding constraints.
You will be the part of the team which is responsible for the development of strategic tools and analytics that capture financial resource consumption and relative returns across the Markets franchise at a client and product level. In partnership with our quant and tech teams we strive to deliver data driven solutions that support world-class management and optimization of financial resource metrics across Markets.
Job responsibilities
- Drive data analysis and identify/explain key factors for large set of financial data.
- Design and develop E2E solutions and user tools to provide useful analytics to stakeholders
- Work with Financial Resource Management team to identify methods to improve financial resource consumption and quantify potential impact
- Partner with Quantitative Research teams to scale-up and develop new analytical framework and optimization strategies
- Lead interaction with our Technology team to develop prototypes into final product
- Develop strong relationships across functions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- You have Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, Masters Degree in Finance or related field
- You demonstrate a Quantitative background with strong programming skills (Python specifically).
- You demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.
- You are a strong team player with an ability to handle work under pressure.
- You have an understanding of financial resource topics including Basel III, GSIB, SLR, SCB, and regulatory initial margin (NCMR/CCP)
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
