You will work for the Strategy team which manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing competitive and market sizing analyses, including profiling competitors' offerings / strategies and identifying factors driving growth or change in industry structure
  • Identifying and developing growth strategies, based on identifying customer segments, buying behaviors, and customer value propositions
  • Modeling business decisions, determining cost structures / drivers, and assessing financial impacts
  • Defining operating models and addressing related organizational design and client coverage segments
  • Engaging in client meetings as subject matter experts
  • Driving development of key leadership communication and strategy materials (including for Investor Day and annual Operating Committee off-sites)
  • Assessing strategic rationale and drivers of value in potential mergers and acquisitions transactionst

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience at top tier consulting firm, or an internal consulting / corporate strategy team, or equivalent experience in asset & wealth management industry,
  • A hypothesis-driven mind-set, combined with strong business intuition, creativity and tenacity, to develop business insights
  • Ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations, applying problem-solving frameworks to cut through ambiguity with confidence
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)
  • High interpersonal and influencing skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Financial services background (and especially asset & wealth management) preferred, but not mandatory
