Job responsibilities
- Advises and leads on the strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio
- Creates novel code solutions and drives the development of new production code capabilities across teams and functions
- Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about technology advancements
- Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions
- Influences across business, product, and technology teams and successfully manages senior stakeholder relationships
- Responsible for core technical architecture of the Controls & Compliance Workspace, collaborating with lead engineers and product owners.
- Defining delivery roadmaps for cross-functional, multi-region teams to deliver against.
- Capable of working through ambiguity and functional complexity; bringing together and closely engaging with technology and business stakeholders.
- Leading and mentoring engineers to continuously uplift the technical capability of the team.
- Ultimately deliver business value through software delivery.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and extensive applied experience
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Demonstrated prior experience with influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scale
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Developing user-facing experiences with Python, Java, React, TypeScript
- Data engineering or ETL data pipeline development
- Data products/contracts or data concepts including meta-data, modelling (conceptual, logical) and schemas
- User orchestration/workflow/case management
- Practical Cloud Native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to data science, AI/ML and model development
- Experience working with UX and Visual Design teams
- Understanding of software engineering concepts and formal applied experience of OO and functional programming paradigms
- Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies
