We are currently looking to recruit an experienced banker at Executive Director level for the UK team covering UK headquartered large corporate clients. The role is based in London.
Job responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced banker who will be a key senior member of the Global Corporate Banking (GCB) UK business. The recruited professional will:
- Act as a corporate banking relationship manager for a portfolio of clients
- Work with investment banking coverage and product bankers to pitch for new engagements and develop client relationships
- Work with our partners across J.P. Morgan to identify new financing and risk management opportunities
- Jointly with our products partners, coordinate the tailored origination of solutions, identifying and addressing client needs
- Originate and execute bank and capital market financings, including structuring, contract negotiation and due diligence
- Manage the balance sheet approval process for new lending and other credit exposures , as well as act as the first line of defence for continuous credit quality monitoring
- Assume responsibility for onboarding of target clients and presentation of the respective business case to relevant internal partners and committees
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Extensive Corporate Banking coverage experience in the UK market with a proven ability to develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and build networks, both internally and externally
- Ability to create, develop and maintain trusted client relationships, as evidenced by winning new business, closing transactions and possessing valuable professional networks, ideally with this client set
- Strong understanding of the firm’s key banking capabilities across capital markets, treasury services, derivatives (FX, rates, commodities), custody and asset management, amongst others.
- Ability to navigate across large organisations to get things done and broker information across the firm; ability to form strong partnerships and work in environments where there are multiple, overlapping stakeholders
- Develop viable strategies to grow the overall business with this client set, as well as take pragmatic steps to execute these strategies
- Solid credit knowledge
- Technical skillset including corporate finance analysis a plus
