The TMT Credit Risk team is looking for a dynamic, critical thinking and diligent candidate to join their team as an Associate.
The team works closely with business partners across the region in J.P.Morgan’s Wholesale Bank including teams like Debt Capital Markets, Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, M&A, Corporate Bank, Markets, Treasury Services and Trade Finance.
As an Telecom, Media, and Technology Credit Risk Associate in Credit Risk team, you can expect to analyse complex companies in fast-moving industries including an increasing number of early and late-stage startups. You will be expected to assess the credit profile of your clients, challenge financial models, understand financing structures, and negotiate legal documentation.
Key financing products that you will be exposed to include:
- Acquisition debt financings and Leverage buy-outs
- High Yield Bonds (and bridges thereto)
- Syndicated and bilateral loans
- Corporate derivatives (eg. FX, interest rate, commodities, inflation)
- Trade finance including LCs, supply chain finance
- Treasury service products including cash management
Job responsibilities
- Strong credit and management skills to lead in-depth due diligence processes and produce concise and insightful credit memos with clear recommendations
- Challenges industry teams on modelling assumptions and understand key conclusions
- Understands loan and derivatives documentation, including negotiating various documentation terms
- Works closely at senior levels with a variety of areas within the Corporate & Investment Bank and CCBSI
- Prime responsibility for the pro-active management of exposure to a portfolio of names and industry sectors
- Understands J.P.Morgan’s Risk policies and related interactions with various stakeholders (including Regulators and Auditors)
- Coaches and develops junior team members

- Prior experience in banking/risk roles
