This is an interesting role combining standard analyst support related tasks and manual handling.

As a Support Analyst in Metals team, you'll be working in a warehouse environment and be expected to perform manual handling for over 50% of your day, along with being responsible for performing control reconciliations to verify positions, investigating settlements, and focusing on procedures.

Job responsibilities

• Works in a warehouse environment performing manual handling alongside security
• Captures, timely and accurately, all transactions in the Risk Management Systems
• Updates (accurately) the Bank’s Inventory system when material is moved internally via transfers, shipped in or out of the facility and communicates discrepancies accordingly
• Completes intraday / end of day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately
• Works closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a ‘one team approach’
• Ensures all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basis
• Reports to the Commodities management team
• Adheres strictly to compliance and operational risks in accordance with JP Morgan regulatory standards, policies and practices, report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Being physically fit to be able to lift 30kg per item and in total up to 15tonnes per day as part of the duties
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and adaptable to shift in roles and willing to learn new tasks
• First class communication and inter-personal skills enabling you to operate effectively with colleagues
• A high level attention to detail is essential in this role
• Competent forklift truck driver or have a full driving license
• Familiar with in LBMA - London Bullion Market Association/ LPPM - London Platinum and Palladium Market / LPMCL - London Precious Metals Clearing Limited codes of practice and work in accordance with these
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
