As an AI Strategy Consultant in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Chief Data & Analytics Office, you will help develop partnerships and investments in Data & AI companies to support the firm’s broader build vs. buy strategy, as well as developing and forming the strategy for AI, in particular around Large Language Models.
Job responsibilities:
- Monitor leading start-ups and products to gain an understanding of the external landscape for Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Develop technical expertise in AI&ML and become an SME by producing weekly analysis on the state of Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Define and deconstruct complex problems through strategic business deep dives and develop communication skills by providing synthesized analysis to senior management
- Support the critical assessment of investment/acquisition opportunities and refine investment knowledge and valuation approaches
- Apprentice under CIB’s Chief Data & Analytics Officer to impact the agenda of CIB AI Strategy and drive execution of CIB’s top strategic initiatives, as well as working closely with Firmwide Chief Data & Analytics Officer's AI stakeholders
- Identify emerging trends ahead of broader market adoption and keeping abreast of competitor approaches and new technologies as the AI market evolves
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Diverse problem solving experience, with 2+ years’ work experience in strategy role preferred (top management consultancy or internal strategy); other similar fields also considered, including investment banking, private equity, VC
- BSc or MSc degree in relevant field preferred but not required (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science)
- Knowledge and understanding of Data, AI&ML and emerging technologies preferred, though curiosity in the subject enough given the fast evolving space
- An outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches
- Easily assimilate new topics/information and synthesize with excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal/written skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint (required) and knowledge of Python and visualization tools e.g. Tableau (not required)
