As a Business Manager - Payments & Commerce Solutions - Associate in the Business Management team, you will optimize business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweights to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for driving the strategic agenda of the business. You will be instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank’s corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance)
- Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base)
- Leads budget round process for 3 year plan, review forecasts with business heads and submit to central team. Appropriately challenges assumptions and proactively identifies opportunities and risks throughout the financial cycle
- Analyze financial performance, including client profitability, expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation
- Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs
- Represent the Business in internal/external working groups
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests
