As a Cash & Currency Middle Office Associate within the Cash & Currency Middle Office team, you will be responsible for supporting the overall Cash and Currency processes, primarily working with Portfolio Managers, Investment Specialists, Traders, Risk Management, Middle Office, Technology, various Operations Teams and other support functions. Your core functions will include, but are not limited to, managing liquidity exposure, order submission of JPMorgan & third party mutual funds, managing of currency exposure queries, primary point of contact to the Front Office for all cash and currency related exceptions, internal operations/business initiatives as well as regulatory programs/compliance.

Job responsibilities

  • Supports the overall Cash and Currency middle office processes
  • Partners with portfolio managers, investment specialists, traders, risk management, middle office, technology, various operations teams and other support functions
  • Manages liquidity exposure and order submission of fund trades
  • Acts as the primary point of contact to the Front Office team for all cash and collateral related exceptions. Responsibility of Currency middle office queries & assist offshore cash and currency trade queries
  • Partners with technology teams on application/platform prioritization, in conjunction with day-to-day production necessities
  • Works on regulatory programs/compliance
  • Works on internal operations/business initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Cash and/or Currency Middle Office experience
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Familiarity of securities operations, trade processing, mainframe accounting systems and performance system architecture
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions, and implement change

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with various asset classes
  • Familiarity with Fund Orders/Trades
  • Familiarity with Currency instruments
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Signavio, Alteryx and Xceptor
