Job Description

The position will largely focus on project management and leveraging Intelligent Automation tools/skills for both process discovery (process mining/capture) and propose, build, deliver both strategic and tactical solutions accordingly.
Where feasible, requirements that can’t be solved through strategic application changes would then be delivered utilising Intelligent Automation (IA) tools and capabilities such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or other automation tools like Alteryx, UiPath, Pega / Unqork Low-Code Workflows, Signavio, Tableau or broader via AI/ML solutions will be required. The position is part of a team that proposes and prioritizes solutions but also mentors, coaches, and promotes Citizen Development across the team through upskilling.

The team is looking for an experienced professional (VP) to help deliver and own & deliver process improvement, propose automation solutions, and help with project management tasks across Nutmeg Client Money & Assets (CASS) impacted process areas. The role requires interacting with members of both International Consumer Bank (ICB) and Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) leadership, Nutmeg Wealth Management Operations, Risk and Control, Data Governance and Technology/product transformation teams and functions to deliver high impact change accordingly.


Job responsibilities

  • Ownership of relevant Project Management tasks such as SteerCo & scorecard slide creation/maintenance, set up and facilitation of meetings and tracking progress/focus items.
  • Help define and create project tracking mechanism for the project book of work (BoW) with ability to track priorities, milestones, owners, blockers etc.
  • Oversee business process reviews where applicable, to identify opportunities for process improvement, and lead automation requirements creation, development & delivery of solution, tracking impact and realized benefit/impact of specific changes accordingly.
  • Diagnose and help facilitate resolution of key issues and risks within the project.
  • Consider where Intelligent Automation (IA) can help the CASS team close control gaps and or create capacity.
  • Ensure operational and business change readiness and support the definition and documentation of new and enhanced operating models when implementing process improvements or automation.
  • Consolidate project item closure evidence.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities.

  • Significant relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience with:
    • Hands on development & experience of intelligent automation tools, such as UiPath, Signavio, Alteryx etc
    • Leveraging capabilities and methodologies such as BPMN 2.0, Process Capture tools & Process Mining
    • High-level understanding of AI/ML and the requirements to make this work is preferred.
  • Accepted qualifications such as Design Thinking, Agile, & or specific tool based such as Automation Developer Professional type certification.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, matrixed environment. Confident leader capable of fostering relationships with business & senior leads / partners
  • Technical and analytical skills, data manipulation (Excel, Alteryx, Tableau). Extensive experience with IA Tooling (e.g., Alteryx, UiPath, Process Mining, Signavio, Pega) and Process Improvement / Automation
  • Solution oriented, leveraging a network to identify solutions and implement them.
  • Ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation at appropriate junctures.
  • A flexible proactive approach, ability to adapt to business change.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Takes responsibility for issues and follows through to resolution.
  • Professional Scrum experience, preferably within a product development/deployment role
  • Ideally coupled with financial services experience,
  • Self-starter, proactive in taking initiative to improve business processes.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical problem-solving skills, and written and verbal communication.
  • Leverages the organization to deliver positive controlled results quickly.
  • Advanced skills and understanding of business analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
