We are seeking an Associate for the Private Equity Group's London office. We are a small team which overseas primarily European private equity investments that works closely with the global group and will gain exposure to US and Asian investment decisions.

Job Summary

As a Private Equity Group Portfolio Manager Associate, you will provide direct support to Portfolio Managers to source and underwrite private equity investments (buyout and venture capital funds, secondary and co-investments), as well as manage the existing investment portfolio. The role also includes client service responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Play a supporting and active role in sourcing and deal origination of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions, and direct investments.
  • Work on all aspects of conducting comprehensive due diligence and modeling
  • Lead the preparation and writing of investment memoranda and investment recommendations
  • Lead the analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, financial models, and industry research
  • Assist in monitoring and optimizing existing portfolio investments
  • Assist in client reporting services

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, including financial analysis, investment banking/M&A, or strategic consulting
  • Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with clients and investment professionals
  • Willingness to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Potential/expectation for candidate to grow within the PEG

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance of Business Administration (or related field) preferred
