The role covers all aspects of trading, pricing and risk management of global MSCI index derivatives, including swaps, futures and ETFs across both Emerging and Developed Markets.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage risk and position sizing using OTC and listed products
  • Ensure positions are correctly booked and reflected in risk systems
  • Provide market insights and commentary to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze market trends and data to identify trading opportunities and optimize the equity index derivatives portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Quantitative Research, and technology, to improve trading strategies and develop new products
  • Possess strong market knowledge to provide comprehensive service to clients, and stay up to date with news and regulatory changes
  • Adhere to compliance and risk management policies and procedures and internal protocols and limits

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A fast learner who can deliver on the strategic initiatives of the desk in order workflow optimization, risk & pricing models
  • Trading experience in Delta One index derivatives is a plus
  • Strong understanding of equity index derivatives and financial markets, particularly MSCI Global indices and in the EMEA region, is a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to analyze market data and develop trading strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage risk effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or CFA qualification is a plus.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
