Could you help us reach new heights? Are you bursting with energy and great
ideas? We’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to join the Candy Franchise Strategy & Operations team.
Reporting to the Strategy Director, you'll work at the centre of Candy Crush Saga and play a key role in enabling the success of the overall Candy organisation – a 10-year-old casual mobile game that is still bringing playful moments to millions of players every day!
The Candy Crush Saga Strategy & Operations Lead will focus on three things:
Facilitating the development and alignment of CCS strategy and select strategic projects (what should we do?)
Governance to inform, make, and implement decisions (how should we do it?)
Communication to help everyone inside and outside CCS understand where we are going and why (how can everyone contribute?)
You will play a crucial role in setting the organisation up for success, by assessing and improving our strategy, governance, and communication. In this role you will have the chance to work collaboratively across all parts of the Candy organisation and with our partners across King, including the game teams, technology, marketing, and business performance. You are a person who makes things happen, either on your own or by partnering effectively with others. You will be responsible for contributing to and in some cases leading a range of high-impact projects.
You’ll need to be a capable influencer, listener, and communicator with the ability to think strategically, grasp the subtleties of game development, and dive deep into the detail and advise on executional direction and goal orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Support the annual and long-term strategy planning
Explore, assess, and execute on strategically important projects, both independently and with stakeholders from across Candy and the broader King organisation
Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency & effectiveness of governance & communication processes
Manage communications and information-sharing processes across Candy, ensuring people at various levels have the right level and amount of information to be engaged, informed, and able to make good decisions
Lead the evaluation and communication of the strategy internally and externally (e.g., KTRs, OKRs, goal-setting, internal and external reporting)
Ensure high-quality thinking and communication in each department/area/craft, and in the overall integration of the all the parts comprising the strategy
Skills required
Experience in working in traditional strategic consulting firms or equivalent
Experience of C-level interactions and influencing
A proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects
Solid understanding and experience of strategy work
Results-oriented with strategic mindset combined with delivery and operational effectiveness
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
A great partner for diverse team members and stakeholders - engaged, considerate, and communicate
A humble and positive personality, able to lead from the front but also bring people on the journey
Knowledge of the games market and current consumer expectations is a plus
