A new opportunity has arisen for Claims Strategy Delivery Manager working here at LV.
We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of Claims ideally with either a Strategy, Project, Technology or Change background and who is keen to pursue their career with us at LV.
This role can be based from any of our Claims sites including Birmingham/Bristol/Bournemouth/Brentwood/Croydon/Huddersfield/Ipswich or Leeds.

Role Purpose
With a clear understanding of the GI strategy and the claims and financial crime strategies, oversee and influence a variety of cross GI programmes to ensure they deliver outcomes which further achievement of the claims strategic outcomes, that claims and financial crime teams are effectively engaged and that initiatives are effectively implemented into claims to maximise benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Vision and communication
Working with the Head of Claims Strategy and Change, other members of the Claims Strategy and Change Team and the Claims Exec, ensure that a clear vision of the claims strategy is maintained,
Take responsibility for ensuring this vision is communicated effectively across GI stakeholders.
Be accountable for reporting on the variety of cross-GI initiatives which will influence and deliver this vision.
Engaging and influencing
Engage with and influence teams from across GI (for example the data hunting team, Business Change, pricing and underwriting, the sustainability team, BICOE (Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence), AZTec etc. to ensure claims strategic objectives and priorities are understood.
Take a leadership role with these teams being responsible for ensuring there is coherency in a programme of delivery that maximises the achievement of GI and claims strategic priorities,
Claims data strategy optimisation
Be accountable for the development and delivery of an overall data strategy within Claims, working with BICOE to understand the enterprise data strategy and the opportunities and new insights this will enable, working across the claims business to ensure that Claims and Financial Crime are effectively developing and understanding the value of data and ensure that together with BICOE we build the tools and capabilities we need to leverage maximum value from data for the organisation.
Be accountable for investigating and understanding future new and emerging sources of or type of data which may deliver value for the claims business. Working with the GI Head of Data Hunting and the Data Science Innovation team ensure we have a clear understanding of opportunities. Working with the Claims and Financial Crime teams, ensure we have a co-ordinated approach to identifying and prioritising the value of these data sources and champion change activity to bring into the business new sources of data and then leverage its value through the claims process.
Connected car and home strategy
Take a leadership role within Claims and Financial Crime in understanding the opportunities and threats enabled by increasing connectivity of vehicles and homes (and wider Internet of Things developments), in particular in relation to how these will or could impact the claims journey from potential for automated notification, intervention by others in the value chain, indemnity and liability assessment, etc. Seek to develop an understanding of the technological, legal and market issues surrounding the adoption of these technologies and of the significant and emerging players in these eco-systems such that AZP Claims can take a market leadership position of influence.
Work with Claims and Financial Crime teams to ensure that as these technologies develop and propositions emerge within the market, we are ready and able to respond to maximise the opportunities and minimise the threats. Working with relevant areas across the business (such as the Data Science Innovation team, product and underwriting teams) understand and contribute to the potential development of future propositions. Engage with other parts of the Allianz business to understand and contribute to the wider business response to these emerging technologies.
ESG
Be accountable to drive forward the ESG agenda in Claims and Financial Crime, with a particular focus on the 2030 carbon neutrality challenge but including other elements of our ESG priorities including other environmental impacts , diversity and inclusion etc. Work alongside the Claims Supplier and Network Management teams as they continue to drive the ESG agenda in those channels. Work with the Head of Sustainability and the Environmental & Sustainable Business Action Group to ensure that ESG objectives are driven throughout the claims value chain, that we raise awareness through the operation of challenges and opportunities and that ESG goals and objectives become embedded in our ways of thinking and operating.
About You
Extensive knowledge of a claims business and the wider general insurance business and market
Strategic thinker, able to see the big picture and make recommendations and proposals based on a three to five year horizon
Proven track record of building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels both within and outside of GI Claims;
Ability to analyse and interpret data from a range of sources
Excellent written, oral communication and numerical skills;
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively;
Ability to work to deadlines under own initiative and to focus on outputs and deliverables;
Excellent planning and organisational skills together with a willingness to “roll sleeves up” when required are also essential
Creative thinking in order to drive best in market practices
Good understanding of and ability to assimilate regulatory and compliance requirements that will affect the customer experience and operational processes;
Ability to embed company values and departmental values within day to day working practices
