LV= Broker distribute our General Insurance products (Car, Van, Specialist Vehicle and Home) through multiple broker partners, as part of our successful multi-brand and multi-channel distribution model.
We're looking for someone to join us who will be focussed on working with colleagues in the wider team to ensure we understand and manage our risks.
This is a fantastic opportunity within our Risk and Regulatory team, to deliver improved risk management solutions through identifying, evaluating and managing key risks and controls.
Your Focus

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and a deep understanding of the risks and controls that apply to each business unit, enabling us to meet our Risk Management requirements, including Risk and Control self-assessments, deep dives and production of reports for the relevant Risk Management committees and stakeholders.

Collaborate with all stakeholders to; assess our risks, identify weaknesses in our control environment and implement improvements to mitigate the risks.

Monitor and analyse the effectiveness and output of these controls and key risk indicators.

Identify new and emerging risks by keeping up-to-date with legal, regulatory and technological issues and trends, along with understanding of business change programmes.

Manage, investigate and report on risk events, including identifying root causes and learnings, risk prevention controls implementation and remedial action in line with our customer centric values

Build strong and enduring relationships with teams within the Allianz Personal business, 1st and 2nd line risk & compliance teams and LV= Broker & Allianz Personal Senior Leaders & Executives.

Support development and implementation of risk strategies, working with 2nd line risk teams.

Lead, manage and motivate the risk team (LV=Broker Risk Analysts) to successfully deliver its strategies and achieve its business objectives

Coach and develop key stakeholders and business teams on risk awareness and risk management requirements, through effective support, training, challenge and oversight.

Contribute to decision making across the broader risk community; providing value add to executive and senior management risk decision making.
What We're Looking For
-
You'll preferably have some experience within a risk, audit, compliance, regulatory, underwriting or management role and have an understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Knowledge of General Insurance (Personal Lines) and experience gained within risk management would be an advantage.

You’re organised, methodical and proactive with a keen eye for attention to detail.

You’ll have strong analytical skills and be inquisitive and confident.

You're able to communicate to stakeholders across all levels clearly and accurately, present MI data and highlight essential issues to senior managers with conviction.
You're professional, keen to develop your risk management and regulatory knowledge, self-motivated and have an inherent drive, passion and motivation to be part of a successful team and organisation
Ways of Working
We are delighted to confirm that we are now a hybrid working business. Our office with flex model means that you will have the opportunity to work from home for up to 3 days per week and come into our office (Croydon or Brentwood) for 2 days – longer if you prefer to work in an office.
