As a Drainage Engineer you will be working to provide drainage design solutions on a range of infrastructure projects from initial scheme concept through to detailed design and construction stages, often working as part of multi-disciplinary teams. You will be involved in the design of drainage systems in a BIM environment using tools such as Projectwise, Autodesk Civil3D, OpenRoads Designer or MicroDrainage as well as the preparation of integrated drainage models to a high level of accuracy and advance BIM capability . In addition to this you will also be involved in commercial and contractual aspects.

Your responsibilities will involve:

Interpreting industry design guidance and standards e.g. Sewers for Adoption, CIRIA C753 The SuDS Manual etc.
Working collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams with other disciplines & professionals
Meeting client requirements for quality standards, programme and budget.

As a Civil Engineering or Drainage professional, you have experience in designing drainage solutions for various infrastructure projects using software such as MicroDrainage and AutoDesk Civil3D. You are comfortable interpreting industry design and standards and guidance such as Sewers for Adoption, DMRB and CIRIA C753. With your commercial experience, you're able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary eam to solve problems through offering various solutions.

You will also ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Working towards professional qualifications (eg. CEng or IEng)
Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment
Ability to work collaboratively to deliver projects to quality, budget and timescales
Eager to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
