Drawing on your significant industry profile and record in the regulatory, strategic or tactical asset management in the Built Environment, you will bring focus to Mott MacDonald's existing Asset Management activities and develop new opportunities and services for the application of Asset Management across our large client portfolio.
You will primarily be focused on the UK, especially initially, but will work closely with our Built Environment Asset Managers across Europe to bring the best of Mott MacDonald to our clients, whatever country they are in. You will also work closely with our Digital Ventures business to bring the best digital solutions to our clients when appropriate.
In this role you will provide focus to our existing and ongoing Asset Management activities in the Built Environment, and enable rapid growth for our Built Environment Advisory Business. You will support our national clients with large asset bases and city-wide asset management schemes as we look to address the future challenge of increased re-use and re-purposing of existing assets.
As well as bringing an established network of contacts to the role that will help foster growth of the business, whilst also keeping abreast of industry best practice, we want you to be a proactive participant in the asset management market. It's important that you take every opportunity to enhance the Mott MacDonald brand and highlight our capabilities.
We also want you to help develop our people capacity and capability within the team, giving them the guidance, mentoring and support needed to be become high performing consultants, and asset management practitioners.
This role will champion innovation and tools and integrate the Mott MacDonald digital asset management toolset into our project delivery approach.
We would also look to you to support our company wide and multi-sector approach to increasing our client's awareness of our offering in Asset Management through client engagement, thought leadership, contributions to industry events etc.
Candidate Specification :
Required for the position of Built Environment Strategic Asset Management Director;
You will likely to be a recognised professional in the regulation, strategic or tactical asset management area or have management consulting experience in this area.
You will have both a technical understanding and experience of asset planning or management with the ability to think at strategic and tactical scales.
You will ideally have experience of developing business in this area and also leading a team to deliver our client's requirements. You will of course be able to draw on considerable levels of support from our management teams to achieve this.
You will be collaborative and possess the leadership skills to both challenge and support our current offering in this space.
You will be able to develop a strategy for this area of the business in the Built Environment sector aligning it with broader company strategies and our multi-sector Asset Management approach.
You will have an ability to grow the pipeline of clients and asset management work whilst developing team capability and capacity growth around a growing pipeline.
You will have experience in personally delivering strategic advisory work to our clients and act as Project Director for critically strategic projects
